Kadena Elementary School receives the “Key to Okinawa” for exemplary community partnership
Kadena Elementary School is celebrating the honor of being awarded the “Key to Okinawa” by Help Oki, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families and strengthening community connections across the island. This award recognizes the long‑standing partnership built on a shared commitment to kindness, one of Kadena Elementary School’s Core Values.

More than 105 high school journalism students representing DoDEA-Pacific schools across Japan, Okinawa, Guam, and Korea gathered at Dragon Hill Lodge in Yongsan, Seoul for the annual Far East Journalism Conference Oct. 27–30, 2025.

DoDEA Career and Technical Education Month
DoDEA celebrates CTE Month every February as a reminder to students that Career and Technical Education programs are available to all those who want to pursue a college education; enlist in the military; or enter directly into the workforce.
